View and experience life like a child.

I'm not young in age, that is evident from the moment you meet me. With my my almost white beard and the grey hair that is starting to dominate the sides of my head. Personally I find it gives off a sence of wisdom, maturity and mystery.

Honestly though it beyond the truth. I'm still 5 years old at heart, I just gained many many years of experience along my journey.

What has made my journey so unique to me and my view of life is I view and experience life as a child does. With awe and wonder.

This freeing mindset has helped me see different views and opinions, thoughts and actions and experiences as if seeing them for the first time.

It opened my mind to new possibilities I wouldn't have thought of if I hadn't. I experiences life like a child with a sponge mind, taking in everything as a child does. I experiences ice cream as if it is my first time eating it even though I've eaten it millions of times in my many years.

I have seen things in a new and different light so to speak. I can hear and process another person's view on a subject regardless if my view point is different from theirs and not judge or criticise them for their belief. It brings me on a level that helps me understand them and why they view that subject as they do. I gain empathy for that person and a stronger understanding of who they are.

This mindset helped me foster a deeper and more expanded view of the world around me. It happened by allowing myself to be constantly learning and growing. Constantly changing as the world and people around change too.

I let go of my past rigid beliefs that were holding me back with a narrow minded view of what I was not allowing to change and failing to change around me by force while holding on to my limiting beliefs of not opening my way of experiencing life from the view of a child's.

At this age it is much more applicable with most of the root fundamentals in place. These being knowing right from wrong and what is safe vs unsafe. These core lessons that a child learns from when first filling their sponge minds as they grow and develop. We have already, as matured humans learned and experiencing these safe/dangerous primative experiences.

From here we are able to expand our child mind once again with less learned information and build with new information that once held us back. Some fears can be overcome as well with new knowledge and insight as we revisit them with now acquired skills we didn't as a child when growing up or by dispelling the myths we were taught to believe that caused these fears to manifest.

It is like telling or teaching your younger self what you now know if you could travel back in time to do so without actually travelling back in time.

You will be able to feel more free and happy in doing so. Your relationships, friendships and work will become more enjoyable (maybe not everyone's work but a small part of it). You will feel more alive because your inner child will be able to live and breathe again, bring forth new and wonderful possibilities as well. Your imagination and creativity will expand as will your passion for life.

Don't let your age or people calling you old stop you from letting your inner child out again. In my opinion this is the true fountain of youth explorers have been trying to find for centuries. It is within us, it always has.

So I say let your inner child out and experience the world for the first time again. Drink from your inner fountain of youth. Go create new joy and experiences in your life.

Be an adult and live free like a child everyone.

Until my next post. "Don't worry, I got this!"
